Select the person you've already shared your location with, then scroll down and choose Ask To Follow Location, before selecting OK. To do so, open the Find My app and select the People tab. You can also ask to follow someone’s location, as long as you’re sharing your own location with them. Select the Me tab, then choose Use this as My Location. To change the device that you're sharing your location from, open Find My on that device. Scroll down and choose Edit Location Name, before selecting Home, Work, School, Gym or adding your own custom labels. Open the Find My app, then select the Me tab. Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map. In the Find My app on your Mac, click People. If you only have a Mac, you can’t share your location. If you like, you can also name the locations you frequently visit. You can turn on Share My Location on your Mac, but you can only share your location from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch that’s signed in with the same Apple ID. It’s important to note that standard carrier data and text rates may apply, whichever location-sharing feature you enable. Those using devices with earlier versions receive the notification through iMessage, while phones using a different OS will receive an SMS message. Whichever option you choose, though, people using devices with i OS 13.1 or later will receive a Maps notification with your ETA, and they can track your progress in their own Maps app. Of course, you’ll want to make sure you’re not actually driving if you decide to follow this hands-on method.
